The state government UP is going to regularize the contract driver operator working in the roadways department of Uttar Pradesh. An agreement has been reached in the talks between the Managing Director and the Employees Union. Uttar Pradesh State Road Transport Corporation (Roadways) will regularize all contract drivers and operators appointed till 2001 on permanent posts. This assurance was given by the Managing Director to the representatives of the Uttar Pradesh Roadways Employees Union. On Wednesday, at the headquarters of the corporation, the union office bearers discussed the problems with the managing director.
The union spokesperson said that it was agreed with the management that contractual employees can do duty for a maximum of 26 days. The order of 10 percent dearness allowance will also be issued soon. Along with this, it was also agreed to send a proposal to increase the salary of technical contract and outsourcing employees, to give grant by the government.
The Managing Director said that both the parties agreed that the problems would be resolved soon. Finance Controller, Principal Manager were present in the talks.
