The Uttar Pradesh Roadways Department is going to give the facility of making smart card payments to its government buses. Now passengers can travel with cashless with the help of smart card.
Like the metro, very soon in roadways buses too, passengers will be able to pay through smart cards. Under the cashless system, the Transport Corporation Administration will provide special cards for its passengers. In which passengers will be able to travel in roadways buses by filling money like metro.
The pattern (sample) of these new smart cards has arrived. They will be launched after minor changes. The trial of new e-ticketing machines will also be completed in ten days. It will start from Lucknow and Ghaziabad region. After the trial is successful, the corporation management will implement this system in the entire state.
There will be two types of smart cards:
Two types of cards are being made for roadways services. One for the general public and the other for the students. Students will be able to use it as MST (Monthly Season Ticket). The orange line card will be for the students and the purple line card will be for the general passengers.

By taking this smart card, passengers will get the benefit of traveling 10 percent more than the total deposited amount. For example, if a passenger has deposited 1000 rupees in the smart card, then he will be able to travel 1,100.
If all goes well, this card will be launched in March.
