Divyangjan can now apply for marriage promotion benefits online. Applications have been sought from the eligible to take advantage of the scheme run by the Department of Empowerment of Persons with Disabilities.
Benefits available under Divyangjan Marriage Promotion Scheme
District Divyangjan Empowerment Officer has told that 15 thousand rupees will be given to the newly married couple if the young man is disabled, 20 thousand to the handicapped girl and 35 thousand rupees if both of them are disabled.
Eligibility for Divyangjan Marriage Promotion Scheme
The age of the young man at the time of marriage should not be less than 21 years and not more than 45 years and the age of the girl child should not be less than 18 years and not more than 45 years.
The marriage must have taken place after 1st April 2022.
How to apply
http://divyangjan.upsdc.gov.in Online application has to be made at portal.
The hard copy of the documents will also have to be made available in the office of the District Disabled Persons Empowerment Officer located in Room No. 13 of Vikas Bhawan.
