For the first time, applications have been sought for 1664 slots for apprenticeship. RRC will conduct apprenticeship training to the students doing ITI.
There is good news for unemployed youth after doing ITI. Railway Recruitment Cell (RRC) will now also conduct apprenticeship to the youth. This is going to happen for the first time.
Applications have been invited from North Central Railway for about 1664 slots for apprentices in Prayagraj, Jhansi and Agra divisions.
Important date
The online application process will start from August 2.
Applications can be made till September 1.
Selection Process
Candidates will not have to give any examination for this, but direct recruitment will be done on the basis of merit.
For the first time apprenticeship is being conducted by RRC Prayagraj. No exam will be conducted for apprenticeship in NCR.
Merit list will be prepared on the basis of marks obtained in 10th and ITI.
Apprentice training details
Under Prime Minister Narendra Modi's ambitious scheme Skill India Mission, apprenticeship is being done for one year. Along with teaching technology, youth doing ITI are being made skilled. In this sequence, now RRC is also preparing to conduct apprenticeship.
Salary for Apprentice Training
During the year-long training, a stipend of seven eight thousand rupees will be given per month. After completion of training, 20 percent reservation will also be given to the trained candidates in future recruitment in railways. They will get stipend as per apprenticeship rules.
Number of posts
Under the Act Apprentice, applications have been sought for 364 slots in Mechanical Department and 339 slots in Electrical Department of Prayagraj Division.
Whereas in Jhansi division, 480 slots will be made apprentice in Jhansi Railway Workshop on 185 slots and in Agra division on 296 slots.
Educational qualification
For this it is mandatory to have passed high school from any recognized board. Also, ITI certificate in relevant trade from NCVT or SCVT recognized institute.
Age qualification
Candidates having 15 to 24 years are eligible to apply.
