Preparations are being made to take online applications for the transfer of teachers in more than 4500 aided secondary schools of the state in the first week of July. Applications for transfer will be invited in July.
The officials of the Directorate of Education have seen the demo of the software ready for application, there are some shortcomings in it, by removing which applications will be taken from the first week of July.
For the first time, there was a plan to take the application through online medium only two months in advance, but due to Corona, it had to be postponed. Now after getting the permission of the transfer from the government, the activity has increased again. With this, the teachers will get rid of the complex and corrupt system of 9 stages of transfer that has been going on for the last four decades.
In the old system, a teacher wishing to transfer had to find the vacant post himself in the district of his choice. After that the teacher had to apply to the Additional Director Secondary Office after taking no objection from the Principal and Manager of both the schools, DIOS of both the districts, then both the Divisional Joint Director of Education Office. In this, complaints of corruption were also received every step of the way.
Additional Director of Education, Government has sought the details of the sanctioned working and vacant posts of assistant teachers in government secondary schools. In a letter sent to all the Divisional Joint Directors of Education and District School Inspectors on Wednesday, it is written that the transfers are to be completed before July 15, the transfers will be done through online merit based system.
