The major features of this scheme are given below.
Financial grant of 2-year program by the Government of India
and classes and district level training opportunities will be provided by IIMs.
More than 660
districts will be rolled out nationally.
Candidates will be
selected through the general admission process conducted by IIM Bangalore.
A combination of classes and training at the district level
will be provided by the IIM.
The certificate will also be given to the candidates by the
convener IIM.
Scholarship
Details
First year ₹ 50000 per month Second year ₹ 60000 per month
The scholarship amount also includes local travel allowance.
The scholarship amount is based on meeting the requirements
of the first year in the second year.
Eligibility Criteria
All eligible Indian citizens can avail this scheme.
The age of the candidates should be 21 years to 30 years.
Graduates from a recognized university can avail this scheme.
Together students who have 3 years of work experience will
be given priority.
Proficiency in the official language of the state of the
applicant is mandatory.
Opportunities from
this scheme
A 2-year blended program of study at IIM and training at the
district level will be provided by IIM.
This can prove to be a unique opportunity to promote
district level economy and skill development.
Candidates will get the opportunity to strengthen them by
connecting with district level schemes and institutions.
Developing and strengthening the district economy is also a
major goal of the scheme.
