Uttar pradesh public service commission UPPSC every year conducts a state level open common competitive written examination for the recruitment of Civil Judge junior Division. Selection of the eligible candidates for Civil Judge will be done through the UP Judicial service written examination. Commission every year publishing notification in the month of May or June for the recruitment Civil Judge. For the recruitment of 2022 batch, official notification will be publish on 10 December 2022. All law graduates can fill application form for civil judge entry level public service of commission will invite online application form through the official website of uppsc. Selection of the eligible candidates will be done through the preliminary examination, main examination and personal interview test.
Total no of tentative vacancies of Civil Judge are 303+.

Eligibility Criteria for / munsiff magistrate/ Civil judge Pariksha:
Education Qualification: Graduation Degree in law.  Or an Advocate enrolled under the provisions of the Advocate Act 1961 or a Barrister of England or Northern Ireland or a Member Faculty of Advocates in Scotland and is entitled to practice in the Court or Courts subordinate thereto; (C) Must possess thorough Knowledge of Hindi in Devnagri Script

Age Limit: minimum 22 year and maximum 35 years as on 1 July 2022.

Selection procedure: selection of the eligible candidates will be done through three stage selection process.

Stage 1: Preliminary Examination; first of all a state level preliminary examination will be held for all candidates. Pre exam of civil judge will be held for screening purpose. Pre exam will be held various examination centers which are Allahabad, Gorakhpur, Lucknow and Meerut districts. The nature and standards of questions in this paper will be such that a well educated person will be able to answer them without any specialized study.

Paper 1 –General Knowledge GK / GS Objective type – Maximum marks 200, Time duration 2 Hours,

  • Current National Issues and topics of Social relevance,
  • India and the world, Indian Economy,
  • International Affairs and Institutions and development in the field of Science and Technology, Communications and Space.

Paper 2 – law – maximum marks  - 300 , Time duration – 2 hours ,  question type – Objective , MCQ based.

Stage 2: main examination
Only those candidates will be called for Main Examination (Written Examination) who obtain such minimum marks as may be fixed by the Commission for the purpose on the basis of preliminary exam.

Paper No. 3 Law - I (Substantive Law
Paper No. 4 Law-II (Procedure and Evidence
Paper No. 5 Law-III (Penal, Revenue and Local Laws

Stage 3 personal Interview test:
The candidates who qualify in the written examination shall have to appear compulsorily in Personality Test (Viva-voce. The candidates for the main examination shall be declared successful in the ratio of 1:10 and for interview in the ratio of 1:3. The interview will be of 100 marks. Marks obtained in the interview will be added to the Marks obtained in the written papers.

How to apply:  interested candidates can fill application form online only for UPPSC Civil Judge Junior Division Examination 2022. Candidates can also deposit application form fee online as well as offline via SBI E Challan. Application form submission will be completed in 3 stages
1st stage: User registration and generate E Challan for application form fee submission.
2nd stage: deposit application form fee via SBI e Challan form
3rd stage:: re visit at the commission website and submit the Challan No / journal no which is given by Bank
Application Form fee: application form fee will be deposited through SBI I collect service or SBI E Challan . 
Application Form fee for general and OBC candidates: rs 125, fee for sc, st 65 , fee for physically handicapped candidates rs 25
