Brief Details about Chief UP Minister Fellowship Scheme
Chief Minister Fellowship Scheme is also being started for the urban areas of Uttar Pradesh. Chief Minister Yogi distributed tablets to the researchers under the Chief Minister's Fellowship Scheme.
At present, Chief Minister Fellowship Scheme has been started in 100 aspirational development blocks in Uttar Pradesh. The state government will now start this scheme in urban areas also. To attract investments in the state, services of research scholars (fellows) associated with educational institutions like IIMs and IITs will also be taken. These researchers will be linked with investors. After applying on behalf of investors, research scholars will monitor its progress.
Research scholars will be given preference in government services. The Chief Minister was distributing tablets to 100 research scholars selected under the Chief Minister's Fellowship Scheme to speed up the development in 100 aspirational development blocks of the state in a program organized in the auditorium of Lok Bhavan on Friday.
The work to be done by the selected candidates under the Chief Minister's Fellowship Scheme
The Chief Minister said that the research scholars would have to work as team members with the administrative machinery of the block. The researchers should participate in the journey of rural development and realize Mahatma Gandhi's concept of 'Gram Swaraj'.
Benefits under the Chief Minister's Fellowship Scheme
These 100 research scholars will be given preference in government service.
They will also be given age relaxation.
Eligibility Criteria UP Mukhyamantri Scholarship Yojana
For selection in the program, candidates will have to apply online on the website of the
planning department. The eligibility of the candidates will be as follows:
1. Graduation with first class or minimum 60% marks or higher educational qualification
2. Should be proficient in speaking and writing Hindi (Devanagari script).
3. Relevant work experience (publishing articles/policy papers/research papers/appraisal/monitoring of projects and schemes etc. in the thematic areas related to fellowship) Evidence has to be provided.
4. computer skills and ability to work on Information and Communication Technology applications and also communication skills. Preference may be given to candidates having experience in data analysis.
5. It is mandatory for the candidates to be willing to work in the field work
Age Limit: The maximum age of the candidate should not exceed 40 years as on the last date of receipt of applications.
Salary :
Under the fellowship program, the selected scholar will be paid at a rate of
Rs. 30,000/- per month.
Rs. 10,000/- will be paid per month for field visits
Rs. 15,000/- will be provided in lump sum to purchase tablet for monitoring and evaluation of schemes.
Tenure of this Fellowship
one year from the date of appointment.
Selection Process of Chief Minister Fellowship Scheme
Online applications will be invited on the website of the planning department for the selection of research scholars. It will be mandatory to upload a statement of purpose in 500 words along with the application form.
Under the Chief Minister's Fellowship Scheme, 26684 candidates had applied, out of which 350 were selected for the interview.
Of the 100 scholars selected on the basis of interview, 41 have PhD qualifications, while others are post-graduate.
