21 posts of clerk will be recruited in government college
More than hundred posts of clerks are vacant in government colleges of Uttar Pradesh. Out of the vacant posts, 21 posts can be filled by promotion. For this, the process has started from the Directorate of Higher Education. To fill the vacant posts by promotion, written examination and type test will be conducted on September 25 in Prayagraj. After passing it, class IV employees will be promoted to clerks.
There are 172 government colleges across the state. The recruitment of clerks in these colleges has not been done for many years. Hence the routine functions are affected. The work pressure is increasing due to non-recruitment of clerks. In such a situation, the Directorate of Higher Education has started the process of filling some posts by promotion. Assistant Director Higher Education BL Sharma said that by filling 20 percent posts through promotion, many colleges will get clerks. Recruitment to other vacant posts will be done later.
