Uttarakhand Police Department is going to recruit 1718 posts of Police SI, Constable. 1521 post constable and 197 posts of Inspector will be recruited. After six years there is going to be direct recruitment in Uttarakhand Police Department.
Direct recruitment of police constables took place in Uttarakhand in 2014-15. Now after six years there is going to be direct recruitment. For this the youth have been preparing for a long time. Director General of Police Ashok Kumar said that In the past, a proposal was sent to the government for the recruitment of constables and inspectors.
Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami had assured the youths who are protesting for employment under the Devbhoomi Berojgar Manch to start the process of recruitment in the police department soon. On December 17, unemployed youth staged a dharna at the CM residence. During this, the CM had given this assurance, which was fulfilled on Saturday.
The wait for the youth who cherished the dream of a job in the police department ended on Saturday. The government of Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami has given instructions to start the recruitment process for 1718 direct recruitment posts. This responsibility has been entrusted to the Uttarakhand Subordinate Services Selection Commission.
Chief Minister Dhami had made a commitment to provide employment to the youth of the state. He had also clarified that migration from hilly areas can be stopped through self-employment along with government jobs. The Chief Minister had announced to start recruitment on about 24000 vacant posts in various departments.
On Saturday, recruitment orders have been issued for the vacant posts of Police Department.
In the order issued by Dr. Ranjit Kumar Sinha, Secretary, Home Department, it was told that out of 1718 posts, 1521 posts would be of constable and 197 of sub-inspector.
