Uttarakhand government UK has launched Mukhyamantri Vatsalya Yojana. This ambitious scheme has been started for the welfare of children affected by the death of mother/father/guardian due to COVID-19 pandemic and other diseases. Hon'ble Minister, Women's Empowerment and Child Development has issued necessary instructions for this to the Director, Women's Welfare, Uttarakhand.
Important information related to this scheme is given below.
Beneficiary: Children / youth from birth to 21 years
Financial Assistance: Every identified beneficiary will be given Rs 3,000/ (Rupees three thousand only) helping amount/ maintenance allowance per month till the age of 21 years. This amount will be paid through bank account.
Eligibility for this Yojana:
The benefit of this scheme will be given to the children affected by Covid-19 epidemic and other diseases in the period from 01 March 2020 to 31 March 2022.
if,
(i) Benefit will be given only if the biological / adoptive parent (both) dies.
(ii) The death of one of the parents and the former having died in the past.
(iii) the death of one of the earning members of the family (mother or father).
(iv) the parent of the child has died in the past and the death of his guardian

Completely filled applications can be received at the District Probation Office on the above e-mail or in person on working days.

Beneficiary Identification:
The applications of the affected children will be received by the Naib Tehsildar / In-charge Naib Tehsildar to the District Child Protection Unit.
Protection of beneficiary's ancestral property: District Magistrate will be the nodal officer.
