Government is going to make preparations to double the honorarium of cooks working in schools under Mid-day meal scheme, read about the whole scheme

preparing to increase the mandey of more than 2.5 million cooks (cook less
helper) across the country cooking in government schools, which can be doubled
at least. Although it is proposed to increase it to three times, but at the
moment, considering the economic situation, there is a preparation to double it.
If this scheme is implemented, then they will get an
honorarium of minimum two thousand rupees every month. At present, only one
thousand rupees are paid to these rasoiya of primary and upper primary school
who cook in schools. In which the central government gives six hundred rupees
and the remaining four hundred rupees have to be given to the states. The
special thing is that their honorarium has not been increased for the last ten
years. His honorarium was last increased in 2009.
However, in view of their status, some states have increased
their honorarium at their level. This situation is when even the unskilled
laborers in the country have a minimum monthly wage of at least ten thousand. Recently
the 15th Finance Commission has also recommended an increase in their
honorarium.
90 percent of women in cooks
According to sources attached to the Ministry of Education, it
is proposed to increase the honorarium of cooks preparing food in schools. After
the approval of the new budget, necessary decisions will be taken in this
regard. 90% of the cooks in schools are women. In such a situation, the
government is preparing to give very good news to these women soon.

बुधवार को बेसिक शिक्षा राज्यमंत्री डा सतीश चन्द्र द्विवेदी से शिक्षामित्र संगठनों के साथ हुई वार्ता में भी इस पर कोई निर्णय नहीं हो पाया है। राज्यमंत्री ने आश्वस्त किया है कि जल्द ही मुख्यमंत्री इस पर निर्णय लेंगे। वहीं शिक्षामित्रों ने फिर 40 हजार रुपए मानदेय की मांग को दोहराया है। उपरोक्त प्रस्ताव नवम्बर में शासन को भेजा गया था।
इसी वर्ष अगस्त में आए अनुपूरक बजट में बेसिक शिक्षा परिषद के स्कूलों में काम कर रहे संविदाकर्मियों के मानदेय बढ़ोत्तरी की घोषणा की गई थी लेकिन अभी तक शासन अंतिम निर्णय तक नहीं पहुंच सका है। अभी शिक्षामित्रों का मानदेय 10 हजार रुपए, अनुदेशकों का सात हजार रुपए, रसोइयों का डेढ़ हजार रुपए व केजीबीवी के हेड कुक का 7971 और रसोइयों का 5848 रुपए मानदेय है। शिक्षामित्रों का मानदेय 1500 रुपए बढ़ाने पर सरकार पर 22.16 करोड़ रुपए, अनुदेशकों का एक हजार रुपए बढ़ाने पर सरकार पर 2.75 करोड़ रुपए, रसोइयों का 500 रुपए बढ़ाने पर 18.87 करोड़ रुपए और केजीबीवी के हेड कुक व रसोइयों का मानदेय बढ़ाने पर 20 लाख रुपए का अतिरिक्त बोझ प्रतिमाह आएगा।
