564 Post uppsc agriculture services 2022 Notification

Uttar Pradesh Public Service Commission is going to conduct the Combined State Agricultural Services Examination CAS for the first time. This is very good news for the youth who are waiting for the Agricultural Services Examination. Advertisement for State Agricultural Service Examination 2022 has been released. All the candidates can fill their applications online. The online application process is starting from ............ and the last date for filling the application form is 25 January 2022. A total of 564 posts will be recruited under this recruitment.

  Candidates will be selected with written test and interview. There will be two stages of written examination. The main examination will be conducted for all such candidates who will be declared to have passed the preliminary examination. Some positions will also be selected without interview. The Uttar Pradesh Public Service Commission will complete the selection process. Earlier, there was not much requisition from the Agriculture Department, and on getting advertisement for the selected posts, its recruitment was done only through PCS examination. But this time due to the high number of posts, the State Agricultural Service has been formed and separate recruitment has been removed. The District Horticulture Officer will be recruited to the posts of Grade 2 Grade 1, Principal State Food Science Training, Food Processing Officer Grade 2 by written examination and interview.

A total of 2 times candidates will be declared for interview and a total of 13 times candidates will be declared qualified in the preliminary examination in Mains. The Commission has also set the pattern of question paper for the State Agricultural Services Examination.

This preliminary examination will be conducted with 300 marks. For this, the first paper will have 120 questions, out of which 80 questions will be related to agriculture and 40 questions will be asked from general studies. Question papers have to be solved in 2 hours. 2 questions will be asked in the main examination.

The first question will be of essay paper in general Hindi with a maximum mark of 100 and the examination will be in 2 hours.

Similarly, the second question paper will be held for optional subjects and the maximum marks for optional subject is 200.

The main examination will be conducted for the candidates who are declared to have passed the preliminary examination.

A total of 50 marks have been set for the interview. Negative marking is also applicable in this examination.

Eligibility Criteria and Education Qualification

Group 'A' Post through written Examination and Interview

Distt. Horticulture Officer, Group–2 Grade–1 -  B.Sc. (Agriculture)/B.Sc. (Horticulture) degree from a recognised University or Institute.

 

Principal Govt. Food Science Training Center/ Food Processing Officer, Group–2- B.Sc. (with Chemistry as a subject) from a recognised University or institute or B.Sc. (Agriculture) from a recognised University or institute followed by two years Post-graduate Associate Course in Fruit and Vegetable Technology from Government Food Processing and Technology Institute, Lucknow or any other recognised institute, or M.Sc. (Food Technology)/ M.Sc. (Food Preservation)/M.Sc. (Food Science) from a recognised University or institute.

 

Group 'B'

Post only through written Examination

 

1(i) Senior Technical Assistant Group-A (Agronomy Branch) - Postgraduate degree in Agronomy

1(ii) Senior Technical Assistant Group-A (Botany Branch) - Postgraduate degree in Agro Botany or Plant reproduction with Science of origin or Postgraduate degree in Botany with specially in genetics or Plant reproduction must be a graduate in Agriculture.

1(iii) Senior Technical Assistant Group-A (Plant Protection) - Postgraduate degree in Entomology or pathology from a recognized university

institution or M.Sc. (Plant Science) with specialization in Entomology or Plant Pathology must be a graduate in Agriculture.

 

1(iv) Senior Technical Assistant Group-A (Chemistry Branch) - Postgraduate degree in Agriculture Chemistry, Soil Science, Soil Conservation from a recognized university or institution must be a graduate in Agriculture.

 

2. Senior Technical Assistant Group-A (Development Branch) -Postgraduate degree in the field relevant with agriculture from a recognized university or institution must be a graduate in Agriculture.

 

Age Limit: (i) Candidates must have attained the age of 21 years and must not have crossed the age of 40 years on July 1, 2022 i.e.  they must have not been born earlier than 2nd July, 1980 and not later than July 1, 1999. For PH candidates, the maximum age limit is 55 years i.e. they must have not been born before 02 July, 1965,

 

Examination plan and syllabus for preliminary examination

There will be a 300 mark paper for General Studies / Agriculture in the preliminary examination.

Which will be of objective and multiple choice type. In this, the number of questions is 120 (about the subject of agriculture

 

There will be 80 questions and 40 questions of General Studies). Its time will be 2 hours

Application Fee: In the ON-LINE Application process, after completing the procedure of first stage, Category wise prescribed examination fee is to be deposited as per instructions provided in second stage. The prescribed fee of priliminary examination for different categories is as under:-
