For the recruitment of various posts on behalf of the Police Recruitment and Promotion Board, the examination is being conducted under the Direct Recruitment Examination 2016 from December 20, 2020. On the first day of written examination only about 50 percent of the candidates appeared in this examination. Due to the corona and cold wave, not too many candidates are participating in the Uttar Pradesh Police Recruitment and Promotion Board examination. This examination was conducted in two shifts. Written examination is being conducted on Saturday from Saturday for recruitment of the posts of Jail Warder, Fireman, Constable Mounted Police. This test will be conducted in 2 days.

Admit cards have been issued for more than one and a half lakh candidates for the examination to be held on Saturday and Sunday. However, 50% of the candidates appeared in the first day examination.

This examination was held on 19 December and 20 December 2020. Through this examination men and women, jail warders, firemen men and constables will be recruited to the posts of mounted police.

 

Negative marking Issue

There was a lot of confusion among the candidates in this exam as to whether the negative marking would be applied in this examination. In that context, an official release was issued by the Board on 16 December 2020, according to which a system of negative marking has been implemented for giving wrong answers in the written examination to be conducted under the rules of Uttar Pradesh Prison Administration, i.e. Negative marking will be applicable in this examination also. A total of 150 questions have been asked in this recruitment exam, and candidates will be awarded 2 marks for each correct answer. Together for the wrong answer. 250 marks will be deducted as negative marking.

This examination was conducted at a total of 401 district examination centers in 10 districts of Agra, Kanpur, Lucknow, Prayagraj, Varanasi, Gorakhpur, Bareilly,  Gautam Budh Nagar and Ghaziabad. The candidates selected under this examination will be appointed at the level of Pay Matrix Level 3 -21700.

 

Question paper analysis

Such candidates whose applications are found complete and correct will be expected to appear in the written examination. The written examination was conducted in objective type. Only one question paper was asked in this exam. The maximum marks for written examination is 300. In this exam, questions of General Knowledge, General Hindi, Quantity Aptitude, Mental Ability, Mental Attitude, IQ and Reasoning were asked.

 

 Expected cut off marks

The maximum mark of this exam is 300. Negative marking is also applicable in this examination. Only about 50% of the candidates have participated in this exam, so it is our possibility that the cut off mark of the exam will not go very high. The level of the question was not too difficult, so there is a possibility that the cutoff of the jail warder may be as per the cut off given below. This is not an official cut off marks data.
