Private student with no record without UP board will also be promoted without marks. Promotion will be written on the private student's high school and intermediate mark sheet and marks will not be given.
There is a continuous churning going on to prepare the formula for promotion to 56 lakh students of UP Board's High School and Intermediate. After meeting with the parents and teachers, now the meeting of the high level committee of the Secondary Education Department was held on Saturday. It was decided in the meeting that if there is no record of marks of the previous class of the students who filled the personal (private) examination form, then they will be promoted without giving average marks. Promotion will be written on their mark sheet.
In this meeting chaired by Additional Chief Secretary (Secondary Education) Aradhana Shukla, several points were discussed to promote students in 40 subjects of high school and 106 subjects of intermediate by giving marks. This includes those individual private candidates of high school who have passed class nine from other boards. Military candidates and prisoners who are exempted from registering in class nine who have been detained in jail are also included. Similarly, ITI pass candidates appearing in Intermediate examination for correspondence, Agriculture class, Professional class and Inter equivalency only in Hindi subject, military candidates and prisoners detained in jail, who are exempted from registering in class 11. He was also considered for promotion without marks.
On the other hand, the private candidates whose records are present, they will be promoted on the same lines as the institutional candidates. It was considered to promote high school students on the basis of average marks of class 9 annual examination and class 10 pre board examination and intermediate students on the basis of average marks of class 11 and intermediate pre board examination. This high level committee will send its report to the government and it will take the final decision in the matter of promotion.
