The wait for the appointment of 1.25 lakh teachers in Bihar is over. Education Minister Vijay Kumar Chaudhary said that from July 5, counseling of teacher candidates will be done on the basis of merit list and appointment letters will be distributed to the selected candidates before August 15. The counseling schedule has also been released by the Education Department of bihar.
Education Minister Vijay Kumar Chaudhary has announced for the recruitment of 1.25 lakh posts in Bihar. Counseling for recruitment to teacher posts will start from July 5. Appointment letter will be distributed before August 15 for the recruitment of teachers.
The Education Minister said that according to the order of the High Court, the appointment process of about 94 thousand elementary and 30 thousand secondary and higher secondary teachers is being done. Disabled candidates have been given one more chance to apply. Their applications are being filled from June 11 and the last date is June 25. When the new applications being received from such differently abled candidates were reviewed employment wise, it became clear that not even a single fresh application of missing disabled candidates came in 75 percent of the employment units.
This is a good news for the youth of Bihar who were waiting for a long time for recruitment to 94 thousand Primary and 30 thousand secondary and higher secondary Teacher posts. Till now no applications have been received from the differently abled candidates in many planning units.
Counseling can be done from the already prepared merit list. In the Niyojan Ikai where new applications of differently-abled candidates are not received, counseling of the candidates will be started on the basis of the merit list already prepared so that 1.25 lakh teachers can be appointed before August 15. The Education Minister said that on July 5, there will be counseling of the candidates of the municipal body, on July 7 the prakhand niyojan ikai and on July 12, the candidates of the Panchayat Planning Unit.
Selected candidates will have to give Matriculation, Inter and Graduation marks and certificates, teacher training marks and certificate, teacher eligibility test pass certificate, caste certificate and residential certificate to the planning unit on the day of counseling. On the next day, the planning unit will have to hand over the certificates to the District Program Officer, so that those certificates can be uploaded on the website soon.

Education Minister Vijay Kumar Choudhary said on Wednesday that the candidates need not worry about the declared merit list of STET. All the candidates who have passed in STET, their eligibility will remain in the next stage of teacher recruitment. So no candidate should be disturbed. Earlier on Wednesday, many candidates unhappy with the merit list of STET met the Education Minister and put their point in front of him.
Then the Education Minister assured all the successful candidates to be given a place in the merit.
