Uttar Pradesh Higher Education Commission Prayagraj Uttar Pradesh for the first time conducted written recruitment examination on the posts of Principal. The examination was conducted for 290 posts advertised under advertisement number 49. A total of 917 candidates were registered for the written examination, but only 743 candidates appeared in the written examination.
Through this recruitment examination, non-government aided
degrees will be recruited to the posts of principal in colleges. This
examination was conducted on 29 October 2020 at various examination centers.
A total of 43 candidates attended. The exam was conducted
from 11:00 to 1:00. For the first time, written examination is being conducted
for recruitment to the post of Principal in degree colleges. Earlier, only
interview test was conducted for recruitment to this post. For this, the
application was invited by the Commission from 15 March to 17 April 2019.

The maximum mark of this exam is 100. An interview test of 20
marks will also be conducted for all such students who will be declared
qualified in the written examination. The system of minus marking is applicable
in the examination.

The written examination for the post of Principal was conducted for a total of 100 marks. This paper was divided into two parts.
Part-1
The questions of Part 1 were asked from General Knowledge, while
the maximum marks of this part was set to 30. All the questions were of
objective type, a total of 30 questions were related to General Knowledge. All
the questions were of multiple choice question type and the maximum marks for
each question is 1.
Current Affairs questions were asked from Current Events
National and International Importance, Personality News, sport, Media, Science, Technology
Environment and Contemporary World. Apart from this, questions were also asked
from Indian politics, history, world and geography. Also a lot of questions
were asked from information and communication technology.
Part-2
A total of 70 questions were asked from Part-2 with maximum
marks of 70. Negative marking is applicable in this examination. 0. 25 marks
will be deducted for each wrong answer. We are releasing a possible cutoff here.
These cut-off marks are being prescribed for the convenience of the candidates.
