Indian Space Research Organization (isro) has launched 3 new online courses for the convenience of students. All these courses will be conducted by ISRO. Undergraduate and postgraduate students can register in all these courses. A total of three courses that are being conducted online free by ISRO are given below.
Course Details
The first course — Geographical Information System, has been
designed to introduce students to geographic phenomena, concepts, and examples.
The course is scheduled from 28th September to 15th October 2020. The course
duration is for four weeks.
The second course — Basics of Geocomputation and Geoweb
Services is an introductory course on Geocomputation. This is a 2-week long
course that runs from 19th October to 29th October 2020.
Lastly, the third course — Remote Sensing and GIS Applications would teach concepts including applications of remote sensing, GIS applications for crop resource assessment and remote sensing applications for geological studies. This course begins on 2nd November and ends on 20th November 2020.
How to Apply
ISRO has invited online application forms for all courses.
All such students who wish to participate in the program
under the online distance learning of ISRO can fill their applications on the
official website of ISRO.
The Indian Institute of Remote Sensing, which is a part of
ISRO, will conduct all these online courses. The duration of all these courses
will be between 1 week to 12 days.
Applications are invited for the Geographical Information
System between 28 September 2020 to 15 October 2020, and the program has a
duration of 4 weeks.

Benefit of ISRO Online Program
All such students who complete these courses and whose
attendance will be more than 70% and get 40% marks in the online examination
will be awarded a certificate by ISRO. ISRO will provide a certificate to such
