Prime Minister Scholarship Scheme KSB PMSS kendriya sainik board 2022

Prime minister scholarship scheme first time was launched in academic year 2006- 2007. PM scholarship yojana launched for the encouraging the higher level technical and professional education for the Dependent of the wards and widow (vidhwa) of ex service man / ex cost guard etc. This is only for the depended of the below the officer ranks. Under the pradhan mantri chhatravriti yojana, government provides 5500 total no of scholarship for the eligible candidates in each academic year.

Out of total 5500 total scholarship, there 2750 scholarship for boys and 2750 for girls candidates. 

Government provides scholarship for one to five year courses duration. Fund of the PM scholarship yojana are transferred directly through the beneficiary bank account on the annually basis.

Rate of Prime minister Scholarship Scheme-  rs 2000 per month for boy and rs 2250 per month for girls  

Eligibility criteria:  all students who have taken their admission in current academic session they are eligible for PMSS scholarship scheme.

Students must score at least 60% marks in intermediate / Diploma / graduation degree program. 

Those students who are studying in 2nd year and subsequent year are not eligible for KSB PMSS chatrviti yojana. 

Only student who are Dependent Wards & Widows of Ex Servicemen & Ex Coast Guard personnel who died in harness / disabled due to causes attributable to military service / coast guard service, irrespective of the rank are eligible for this scheme.

Wards of Civilians including Para Military Personnel are NOT ELIGIBLE.

Candidates studying out of the India are not eligible for PMSS scholarship scheme.

Selection process: selection of the eligible candidates will be based on the order of the prefer for selecting the eligible candidates which are as are following

Category 1 personnel killed in action.

Category 2 personnel disabled in action and boarded out of service with disability attributable to Military / Coast Guard service.

Category 3 personnel who died while in service for causes attributable to Military / Coast Guard Service.

Category 4 Wards of ESM / Ex Coast Guard personnel disabled in service with disability attributable to Military / Coast Guard Service.

Category 5 Wards & Widows of ESM / Ex Coast Guard personnel in receipt of gallantry awards.

Category 6 Wards / Widows of ESM / Ex Coast Guard personnel (PBOR Only).

Eligible program and course for filling application form: BE, B Tech, BDS, MBBS, B Ed, BBA, BCA, B Pharma, MBA, MCA etc

How to apply: all eligible candidates can fill application form online at the official website kendriya sainik board secretariat, department of ex service man welfare, ministry of defense, government of India. • Certificate issue by Head of the institution where applicant studying in prescribe pfroma only.
• Aadhaar card link bank account no.
• High school certificate for DOB verification.
• Education qualification certificate
• Bank pass book photo copy of 1st page of PNB or SBI
• Aadhaar card
• Copy of PPO
