All students who are waiting for the government scholarship they are informed that notification for national means cum merit scholarship is published online. All eligible candidates can fill application form online for NMMSS 2022 for class 8th. This scholarship is for those talented students who are studying in class VIII.
Under the NMMSS central government scholarship, government provides chhatravriti for poor student. Government provides Wazifa for further study up to class 12th level. Maximum scholarship will be provided for 4 years. In this scholarship, government will provided rs 500 fund per month for 4 years up to completion of intermediate. All eligible candidates can fill application form online till the last date September 2022
Important details of NMMSS National Means Cum-Merit Scholarship Scheme (NMMSS)
Brief Info of NMMSS scholarship as are following
This scheme is sponsored by Central government of India. National Means-cum-Merit Scholarship yojana NMMSS first time introduced in May, 2008. Basic aim of the NMMSS yojana is to honor Chhatravriti to Talented students who are not financially strong. Due to this scholarship, government also want to reduce the at class 8th stander and support them to carry on their education at Intermediate level.
Fund details provided in this scheme:
Scholarship of Rs. 6000/- per annum (Rs.500/- per month) per student is Distributed to selected students every year for study in classes from IX to XII in State Government, Government aided and local body schools. Reservation will be also permission in this scheme according to state rules. Scholarships are disbursed by the State Bank of India directly into the bank accounts of students on quarterly basis.
Total 1 lakh students every year selected form this scholarship.
2/3 weightage of total scholarship will be would be given to registered students of class VII and VIII and 1/3rd weightage would be given to population of child of related age group for class 7 and class 8.
SBI will ensure that the scholarship is paid to awardees on quarterly basis (Rs. 1500/- each quarter) after getting the list from each state.
Eligibility Criteria:
- Family Income: only those students whose family income is not more then rs 150000 per year they can fill application form.
- Students of JNVS Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya, Kendriya Vidyalaya KV (Central schools ) are not eligible for this scholarship.
- If you are already enrolled in residential schools of state government like KGBV , you can also not fill application .
- Students who are getting benefit of Residential School where facilities like boarding, lodging and education are provided and students studying in private schools are also not eligible for the scholarship under this scheme.
Education qualification – only class 8th studying students can fill application form.
Only students who are studying in government, local body, and government aided school are eligible for this scheme.
At the time of selection for the award of scholarship the candidate must have scored at least 55% marks or equivalent grade in Class VIII Examination. There will be 5 % relaxation for SC/ST.
Selection process: selection of the eligible candidates for the scholarship will be based on through the written examination which will be held by state government.
Selection list and other details will be uploading at the official website of National Scholarship Portal (NSP).
First of all test will be conducted on state level. All those students who will be declared qualified in the written examination of state level they will get chance for appearing in national level examination.
The state level examination will comprise following test
Mental ability test MAT: questions of MAT will be objective type and MCQ based. This paper consists total 90 questions from verbal and non-verbal meta-cognitive abilities like reasoning and critical thinking. The questions in the test may be on analogy, classification, numerical series, pattern perception, hidden figures etc.
Total 90 Minutes time duration will be given for attempting the question paper.
Scholastic aptitude test SAT: this paper will also comprise 90 objective type questions. Questions will be asked from science, social studies and mathematics as taught in classes VII and VIII.

Minimum qualifying cutoff marks: at least 40% marks for MAT and SAT and minimum 32 marks for reserved category for both question paper.

Office of nideshak manovigyan shala Up published the notification form for NMMS scholarship. all eligible students now can collect application form free of cost from the office of all joint director (sanyukt shiksha nideshak JD ) , zila Vidyalaya nirikshak (DIOS District inspector of schools ) , DIET , Zila basic shiksha adhikari (BSA ) etc
Last date of application form submission is - 24 September for Up
Renewal of the Application form: all qualified students in NMMS scheme, who want fill renewal application form they are required to link their bank account with Aadhaar for renewal. After that attest your application form from the principal office of your schools and attach all the required document with the application form and submit it to DIOS office of your district before the last date which is September 2022.
