Minimum qualifying cutoff marks: candidates have to qualify each test by securing minimum qualifying cutoff marks prescribed for each section.

insurance company limited.
Selection of the eligible candidates will be based on though 
the online preliminary examination, mains examination and personal interview 
test. 
Question paper pattern and syllabus of AO exam as are 
following 
Preliminary examination: first of all Oriental insurance 
company will conduct a preliminary examination for screening purpose for all 
candidates. Questions of preliminary examination will be objective type and MCQ 
based. Pre examination will carry maximum 100 marks. Total 1 hour time duration 
will be given for attempting the questions paper.

OICL Main exam question paper 
pattern and syllabus 
Questions of Mains examination will be objective type and MCQ 
based. Objective test will carry maximum 200 marks.
OICL will also conduct Descriptive 
type test in mains examination and this test will carry maximum 30 marks.  
Both tests will be held online.  Candidates are required to give answer of 
Descriptive type test by typing on computer. 
Objective test: total 2 hour time duration will be given for 
attempting the question paper of Objective type test. 
Their will be 4 section in generalist posts and 5 section for 
specialist posts.

Decretive type test: OICL will also 
conduct a descriptive type test after completing the objective type test 
examination. This test will carry maximum 30 marks.  
Questions of Descriptive test will be related from English 
language (Letter Writing-10 marks 
& Essay-20 marks). The descriptive test will be in English and will 
be
Conducted 
through on- line mode.
Each candidate 
will be required to obtain a minimum score for each section of objective test 
separately for short listing for the Descriptive test evaluation/Interview. 
Descriptive answer script would be evaluated only in respect of those candidates 
who qualify the objective test and also score high but the marks in the 
descriptive test will not be counted towards short listing for interviews or 
final selection.
Negative marking: negative marking will be applicable in the 
Preliminary and mains examination. For each incorrect answer ¼ marks will be 
deducted as a minus marking.  
Personal interview test:  
Candidates who have been 
short listed at the end of Phase-II will subsequently be called for an Interview 
to be conducted by the Company, up to three times the number of vacancies of 
respective stream/category.
Interview will 
be conducted at select centers. The weightage (ratio) of online Examination and 
Interview will be 80:20 respectively.
Final 
selection: final selection of the eligible candidates will be based on through 
the Mains examination (Objective type) and personal interview test.
