NTSE Scholarship Kerala exam notification application form 2017

State council of education research and training SCERT Kerala, Government of Kerala Department of Education published the official recruitment notification for state level national talent search examination NTSE 2017- 18. Kerala state level NTSE exam will be held on 5 November 2017.  All eligible students who hold the eligibility criteria for NTSE Exam they can fill application form online.
Important details of Kerala NTSE Exam 2017 -18 as are following
 
Eligibility Criteria: education qualification: all students who are studying in high school can fill application for NTSE 2017 – 18.
Student who is studying through open Distance Learning ODL and having age below 18 year and is appearing in Class X examination for the first time will also eligible for scholarship.
All students who have secured not less than 55% marks for all non-language subjects In the qualifying examination of class IX of 2016-17 will be admitted for the examination.

Selection procedure: selection of the eligible candidates for NTSE scholarship will be based on through the written examination.
Question paper pattern of the written examination as are following
The test will be conducted in Two Parts of 90 minutes duration each.
 
Part I - Scholastic Aptitude Test (SAT) comprises of 100 objective type questions from Social  science, Science subjects and Mathematics.
 
Part II consists of Mental Ability Test (MAT ) and Language Comprehension Test.
There will be 50 questions in Mental Ability Test and 50 questions in Language Comprehension Test (50 questions in Malayalam Language and 50 questions in English Language). Candidates can choose either Malayalam or English for Language Comprehension Test.
Marks scored for Language Comprehension Test will not be considered for ranking. But candidates must score a minimum of 40% marks in Language Comprehension Test.
All questions in Part II are also of objective type.
 
Portions included for the State Level Test under Part I are as follows.
a. 9th entire portions & 10th first and second term portions of Kerala State syllabus for the current academic year.
b. 9th entire portions & 10th first and second term portions of CBSE syllabus for the current  academic year.
c. Certain portions studied in lower classes which are essential for the proper understanding of the subjects.
The candidate should answer Part I (SAT) and then Part II (MAT) after an interval of one hour.
Candidate can choose English, Malayalam, Tamil or Kannada as medium of Examination for SAT & MAT and should specify it in the application form

How to apply : all eligible candidates can fill application form online at the official website of SCERT Kerala which is www.scert.kerala.gov.in
The hard copy of the Online Application along with relevant certificates/documents shall be sent by post to the following address after obtaining the declaration/signature from the applicant as well as the Principal/  HM with seal before 10 September 2017.

Application form fee – rs 250 for general category candidates and rs 100 for SC /ST/ BPL category candidates.
Candidates can deposit application form fee through Credit card/Debit card, Internet banking/SBI Branch - challan mode
