official Notification for inviting application form for the scholarship from the
PWD physical handicapped scholar. This scholarship is
funded by the Divyang jan sashaktikaran vibhag, Samajik
nyay evam adhikarita mantralaya government of
India. All pre merit, post metric, and top class
students are eligible for this handicapped scholarship. Application form for Viklang student

MATRIC SCHOLARSHIP FOR STUDENTS WITH DISABILITIES
VALUE OF SCHOLARSHIPS
The value of Pre-matric scholarship includes the following
for Complete duration of the course:
(i) Scholarship and other grant;
(ii) Allowances, and
Rates of Scholarship and Grant:

Post-Matric Scholarship
The value of Post-matric scholarship includes the following
for complete
duration of the course:-
(i) Maintenance allowance,
(ii) Additional allowance for students with disabilities, for
the complete duration of the course, and
(iii) Reimbursement of compulsory non-refundable fees,
(iv) Study tour charges,
(v) Typing/printing charges for preparing
Reports/projects,
(vi) Book allowance for students
pursuing correspondence courses,
(vii) Book bank facility for specified courses,

Additional Allowances depending on disabilities of the
student
A. Reader Allowance for blind Scholars: Rs.240/- per month for all the groups of courses.
B. Transport Allowance: Rs.160/-
per month for disabled students, if such students do not reside in the hostel,
which is within the premises of educational institution. The disability as per
the Persons with Disabilities (Equal Opportunities, Protection of Rights and
Full
Participation) Act, 1995 is defined as blindness, low-vision,
leprosy cured, hearing impairment, locomotors disability, mental retardation and
mental illness.
C. Escort Allowance: Rs.160/- per
month for severally handicapped day scholar students with low extremity
disability.
D. Special Allowance: Rs.160/- per
month is admissible to any employee of the hostel willing to extend help to a
severely orthopedically handicapped student residing
in hostel of an educational institution, who may need the assistance of a
helper.
E. Coaching Allowance: Rs.240/- per
month towards extra
Study Tour Charges
Study tour charges up to a maximum of Rs.1600/- per annum,
Typing/printing charges for preparing Project
Reports/Thesis
Project Reports/Thesis typing/printing charges up to a
maximum of Rs.1600/- will be paid to research scholars
Book Allowance for Students pursuing Correspondence
/Distance
Education Courses
The students pursuing such courses are also eligible for an
annual allowance of Rs.1200/-
Eligibility criteria for physically handicapped PH scholarship
This scholarship for the pre metric, post
matric and top class appearing students.
Only Indian citizen can fill application form.
Disability must be more then 40% for filling application form
for physically handicapped scholarship.
More then 2 handicapped child of one parent are not
eligible.
Scholarship will be given for one academic year. Disqualified candidates in
academic year not eligible for this scholarship for same year.
All other PH , pwd , students who are getting other type of scholarship or
stipend are eligible for this scheme.
Only regular students of government, central / state level
college/ school are eligible.
Post metric top class scholarship - high School qualified
candidates are eligible for this scheme.
Post graduation degree / diploma / certificate program
appearing students are eligible.
If any student complete graduation
are enrolled in other UG program then they are
not eligible.
Enrolled student more then one program will get scholarship
for one program.
Distance learning student, correspondence students will also
eligible.
Family income:
maximum family income must not be more than
2 lakh from all sources for pre matric
2.5 lakh for post matric
6 lakh for top class
