Power Grid Latest government Job 2016 DIPLOMA TRAINEE Technician 76 Posts

POWERGRID, the Central Transmission Utility (CTU) of India and a “Navratna” Public Sector Enterprise under the Ministry of Power, Govt. of India, is engaged in power transmission business with the mandate for planning, co-ordination, supervision and control over complete Inter-State transmission system and operation of National & Regional Power Grids.
 Power Grid Corporation limited PGCIL Western Region Transmission System-II covering the states of Gujarat , Madhya Pradesh, UT of Daman and Diu and UT of Dadra Nagar Haveli requires bright, committed & energetic persons to join its fold as Diploma Trainee (Electrical/Civil/Electronics & Communication) , Chemist and Jr. Technician Trainee (Electrical) for filling up current vacancies.
Total no of vacancies are 76 including various categories . Important recruitment details as are following.

Eligibility criteria: 
Education qualification for : Diploma Trainee:  Diploma in Concerned engineering Trade with minimum 70% marks
Age limit as on 16 august 2016 maximum – 27 for UR , 30 for OBC . 32 for SC , ST

Chemist education qualification:  PG in chemist
Age limit: 28 for UR , OBC , ST,  32 for SC

Education qualification for: Junior Technician Trainee (Electrical) : ITI in electrical 
Age limit as on 16 august 2016 maximum – 27 for UR , 30 for oBC . 32 for SC , ST

Appearing candidates of final year can fill application form . 

Salary:  rs 16500 for Diploma Trainee, Rs.16000/- in the pay-scale of Rs.16000-35500/- (IDA)
12500-27500/-(W4 Grade) –(IDA) for Chemist
Rs. 11,000/- pm   , Rs.11500/- in the pay-scale of Rs.11500-26000/- (IDA)    for junior Technician. 

Selection procedure:  selection of the eligible candidates will be based on through written examination.  Trade test will be held only for Chemist and junior technician posts .  Trade test will be qualifying nature.  Final merit will be prepared on the basis of marks obtained by the candidates in the written exam.

Question paper pattern and Syllabus as are following
Written Test shall be of Objective (each question shall have four answer options) Type of two hours duration consisting of two parts:

Part-I consists of Professional Knowledge Test with 120 questions having specific questions of respective discipline. E.g.-If the Candidate has applied for Diploma Trainee (Electrical) then question shall be from Electrical discipline.
Part-II consists of Supervisory Aptitude Test for Diploma Trainee (Electrical/Civil/Electronics and Communication) and General Aptitude Test for Junior Technician Trainee(Electrical)/Chemist with 50 questions on vocabulary, verbal comprehension, quantitative aptitude, reasoning ability, ability to determine data sufficiency, interpretation of graphs/charts/tables, numerical ability etc.

For Supervisory Posts - (Diploma Trainee (Electrical/Civil/Electronics & Communications) - To qualify against Unreserved Vacancies, candidates have to score at least 40% marks in Written Test with at least 30% marks each in Part I and II separately. For Reserved vacancies- If reservation is applicable (i.e. OBC (NCL), SC, ST) ,the qualifying criteria in Written Test is 30% marks with at least 25% marks scored in each Part I and II separately.

For Workmen Posts – (Chemist/Junior Technician Trainee) - To qualify candidates have to score minimum aggregate of 40% marks (Part I & II combined) in case of Unreserved vacancies and minimum aggregate of 30% marks (Part I & II combined) for reserved vacancies- If reservation is applicable (i.e. OBC (NCL), SC, ST) for Junior Technician Trainee.

All questions carry equal marks (1 mark). Wrong and multiple answers would result in negative marks of 1/4.

The applicants will have the option to appear for Written Test in HINDI/ ENGLISH language

The Written Test shall be held at the following Test Centers:
1 Vadodara (Gujarat) 2 Rajkot (Gujarat) 3 Bhopal (M.P.) 4 Jabalpur (M.P.)

Application form fee : rs 300 and rs 200 for Chemist and Technician posts for General and OBC category candidates . there are no fee for  PWD ,SC , ST and ex service man.
