Himachal Pradesh Government has published a notification No.
P.II(3)Rec.(Consts)(1200 M + 300 FM)/2016-2801, Dated 10-02-2016 for recruiting
recruitment notice for the post of CONSTABLE under DIRECTOR GENERALOF POLICE,
HIMACHAL PRADESH POLICE HEADQUATERS. Candidates can download Application form
and collect more information regarding recruitment for the post of constable
for Himachal Pradesh from the website of H.P. Police which is www.hppolice.nic.in. Examination fee
should be paid through Bank Draft/IPO in the favour of the district
Superintendent of Police concerned.
There are 12 districts (such as Bilaspur, Chamba, Hamirpur,
Kangra, Kinnaur, Kullu, Lahaul & Spiti, Mandi, Shimla, Sirmaur, Solan, and
Una) and 1500 vacancies (1200 male + 300 Female) for which recruitment is
published by (H.P. Govt.) director general of police. Candidates must have
certificates related to NCC(C) or NCC (B) or both. After filling the
application form candidates must send or submit it to the office of district
Superintendent of Police concerned.
Total No. of HPP Vacancies for Constable Post: Total no. of
vacancies are 1500 (tentative), in which 1200 for male candidates and 300 for
female candidates.
Salary:
Pay Scale of Rs 5910-20200/- + grad pay of Rs 1900/-
Initially start with the Rs 7800/- and after 8 years salary
will become Rs 10300-34800/- + Grad Pay of Rs 3200/-
Eligibility Criteria: Age limit should be according to the
date 1st February
Minimum age – 18 years and Maximum age – 28 years
Educational Qualification and Certificates:
Candidates must have the degree of 10 + 2 (12th /
intermediate) or the candidates who are appearing they can also apply for the
post of Constable.
Candidates must have certificates related to NCC(C) or
NCC(B).
Selection /Recruitment Procedure: Selection process has
mainly 6 (six) steps, under which Physical standard Test PST, Physical
Efficiency Test (PET), Written Examination, Personal Interview/ Personality
Test, Medical Checkup /Examination, Character and Antecedent Verification
according to which candidates must have
Physical standards- candidates must have the physical
standard according to the given table and according to different height there
will be marks in between 0 to 5.

Written Examination- Questions will be in both languages
that is English and Hindi. For written exam total marks will be of 80 marks and
total timeing/ duration of 60 minutes = 1 hour.
Subjects and Syllabus for written exam – written examination
question paper will comprise subjects. Question paper contains questions from General
Awareness, mathematics, Science and Reasoning Aptitude. All the subjects will
be of the standard of 12th where as math will be of 10th standard.
Written Examination Center and Recruitment Place:
Recruitment will be held in the headquarters of all the district of Himachal
Pradesh. All the districts (12 district) for which recruitment is published
will be Exam centre for the written examination and on the same day (not
declared yet).
Personal Interview/ Personality Test- It will carry total 15
marks, in which NCC(C) certificate carry 3 marks and NCC (B) certificate will
carry 2 marks respectively.
Medical Checkup /Examination.
Character and Antecedent Verification .

Candidates can pay the fee through bank draft /IPO.
